ชีวประวัติ
Jenny Schade is an emerging artist living and working in
Montréal. Although the oeuvres that Schade creates are grounded in
traditional oil and acrylic painting techniques, they open
themselves through sculptural and installative strategies and
interpretations. Images of landscapes and ambiguous faces continue
to haunt Schade’s pictorial vocabulary. As somber and absurd as her
work can often be, light, flowers and hints of humor are always to
be found.
She has recently completed her MFA in visual arts at the
University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM) and has participated in
several exhibitions highlighting the work of selected emerging
Canadian artists. She was an artist in residence at the Vermont
Studio Center (2012) as well as Maison Gai Saber (Leigne-sur
Usseau, France, 2015), and has more recently been published in
Sameness between you and I (PDA Projects Press, Ottawa,
2016).
