Nathan Mabry (born 1978, lives and works in Los Angeles)
received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute (2011) and his
MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles (2014).
Mabry’s work has been the focus of important exhibitions,
including his solo exhibition at the Nasher Sculpture Center
(Dallas) in 2013; Thief Among Thieves (MOCA, Denver) in
2015; Red Eye: Los Angeles Artists from the Rubell Family
Collection (Rubell Family Collection, Miami) in 2006
and Thing: New Sculpture from Los Angeles (Hammer Museum,
Los Angeles) in 2005. Mabry’s work is included in the
collections of the Hammer Museum (Los Angeles); LACMA (Los
Angeles); Orange County Museum of Art (Newport Beach); MOCA (San
Diego); Phoenix Museum of Art (Phoenix); Dallas Museum of Art
(Dallas); Nasher Sculpture Center (Dallas); Nelson-Atkins Museum of
Art (Kansas City); Whitney Museum of American Art (New York).
Private collections include 176 / Zabludowicz Collection (London);
The Rubell Family Collection, (Miami) and the Vanhaerents Art
Museum (Brussels). He
is represented by Cherry and Martin in Los
Angeles and
Praz-Delavallade in Paris
