BIOGRAPHY

Mark Shetabi (b. 1970 Mineola, New York) received his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Arts, Philadelphia, Pensylvania, in 1996 and his BA from Western Washington University, Bellingham, Washington, in 1993. Selected solo exhibitions include Arena, Jeff Bailey Gallery, New York, NY (2008), Elevation, Jenny Jaskey Gallery, Philadelphia, PA (2007), The Anxious Journey, Ratio 3, San Francisco, CA (2004). Selected group exhibitions include Give Them What They Never Knew They Wanted, Jeff Bailey Gallery, New York, NY (2009), Underwater, Western Bridge, Seattle, WA (2009), Empire and Its Discontents, Tufts University Art Gallery, Medford, MA (2008), Liquid Paper, Ratio 3, San Francisco, CA (2006). Grants and awards include Pew Fellowship in the Arts in 2002.
