Thiago Rocha-Pitta was born in 1980 in Tiradentes, Minas Gerias, Brazil.
Thiago Rocha-Pitta’s solo exhibitions have included: Notes on an Inland Shipwreck, Anderson Contemporary, Berlin; SCAI X SCAI, Arts Initiative Tokyo [AIT], Tokyo, Japan; Uma Trilogia, Pavilhão Ascensão, São Paulo, Brasil; Heritage, Andersen Comtemporary, Copenhagen, Dinamarca; Requiem, A Gentil Carioca, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and at Galeria Millan Antonio, São Paulo, Brazil. Thiago has also participated in group exhibitions internationally, such as 2008’s A Stake in the Mud, A Hole in the Reel - Land Art's Expanded Field 1968–2008, which traveled between Barcelona, Vigo (Spain), Basel and Mexico City; the 1st Singapore Biennial; Time Frame at P.S. 1 (New York), Prêmio SESI - CNI Marcantonio Vilaça, at the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes (Rio de Janeiro) and Troca Brasil at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (Portland OR).
Thiago Rocha-Pitta lives and works in Rio de Janerio, Brasil.
