BIOGRAPHY
Joo
Yeon Park’s art practice oscillates between the limits and
potentials of language. Her works concerning the transliteration
and rendition of meanings strive for new understandings in the
invisible relations, finding ways to give visual forms for such
unformulated experiences. The execution of the works, often
omitting the unnecessary segments until there is only the very core
is left, implicate layers of meanings in a very simple
implementation.
Selected exhibitions include Los Angeles County Museum of Art, L.A,
Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, U.S.A. (2009-10); Gwangju Biennale
(2008); Platform Seoul, ArtSonje Centre Seoul (2008); Rodin
