BIOGRAPHY
Fahamu Pecou (b. 1975 Brooklyn, NY) received a BFA in Painting and Digital Media from the Atlanta College of Art in 1997 and studied at the Caversham Centre in Kwazulu Natal, South Africa in 2008. Selected exhibitions include the 16th annual Iberoamericano Festival in Cadiz, Spain, by contributing to and installing the multimedia installation, "Santuario de Los Reyes" (2001); Arts Beats + Lyrics at the High Museum of Art , Atlanta, GA (2005);  Atlanta Biennial  (2007);  Movers and Shakers of the Georgia Art Scene, Museum of Contemporary Art, Georgia, Atlanta, GA (2007); Bare Walls, No Boundaries, The Amistad Center for Art & Culture, Hartford, CT (2008); and Between Meaning and Matter, Bell-Roberts Gallery, Cape Town, South Africa (2008). He is represented by Lyons Wier Ortt Contemporary in New York.  Fahamu Pecou lives and works in Atlanta, GA.
