Ayakoh Furukawa received a BFA in 2004 and an MFA in 2007 from Hunter College in New York. She is President of the Japanese Artists Association of New York. Selected group exhibitions include Making a Home: 33 Comtemporary Japanese Artists in NY at the Japan Society in New York (2008); The Feminine Mystique at Jersey City Museum in New Jersey (2008); Women's Voice, Women's Vision at St. Marks Church in New York (2008); and Summer Exhibition at Malborough Gallery in New York (2008). Ayakoh Furukawa lives and works in New York.
