Paolo Chiasera

Following on from the solo exhibitions of 2007 - The Tupacproject at LAF (the Limehouse Arts Foundation) in London and The Trilogy at the Smith Stewart Gallery in New York - some videos and sculptures will go on show for the first time at MACRO. Born in Bologna in 1978, Paolo Chiasera is one of the most highly acclaimed young talents on the contemporary art scene in Italy, and his works include drawings, paintings, sculptures and videos. The “Forget the Heroes” project which will be specially made for the museum’s Panorama Galleries will use a number of different instruments, ranging from video to sculpture, to examine the processes of transformation of the theories devised by some twentieth-century thinkers in the fields of economics, linguistics, computer science and urban planning, showing how present-day application of these theories has moved away from their original positions. 6:00 p.m.
