On Saturday 21st May at 6pm the ephemeral architecture Paper Building by Daniel González will open the Foundation La Fabbrica del Cioccolato, located in the Alps of the Tessin Canton in the Blenio Valley.
The whole façade of the fascinating former Cima Norma chocolate factory will be covered by billboard white paper: a monumental installation of 890 square meters representing the zero degree of architecture. Paper Building will hide the ancient architecture of the chocolate factory, thus causing a loss of identity, due to a change in the original environment. Citizens will lose an important point of reference for the territory, and they will find a new one by taking part in the opening, when they will tear the paper down to open the Foundation's doors and windows.

The installation is included in the curatorial programme Foreignness, a two-year project, developed by the artistic director Franco Marinotti, that aims at protecting and maintaining the architectural and archaeological heritage of the former industrial complex Cima Norma founded at the beginning of 20th Cent. The installation will be visible till end of September 2016
