Pablo Helguera: Chrestomathy

Pablo Helguera (b. 1971, Mexico City) is a visual and performance artist whose work weaves together personal and historical narratives in the context of socially engaged art and language. Chrestomathy will include several of his most recent works, including Rogaland (2012), a project made through a process of mistranslation. The project departs from the 1936 book, Gamle Gardsanlegg I Rogaland by Norwegian archaeologist, Jan Petersen.
