BIOGRAPHY

Kelly Barrie (b. 1973, London, England) received a BA with Photography and Art History concentrations from Hobart College, Geneva, NY (1995), an MFA in Photography from California Institute for the Arts, Valencia, CA (1997) and attended the Whitney Independent Studio Program, New York, NY (1998). Selected solo exhibitions include Astral Fields and Other Manifestations, Angstrom Gallery, Los Angeles, CA (2007); Between the Blinds, UAG/Room Gallery, University of California, Irvine, CA (2008); a Angstrom Gallery. Selected group exhibitions include California Biennial, Orange County Museum of Art, CA (2008); Revolutions—Forms that Turn, Biennale of Sydney, Australia (2008); Nina in Position, Artist Space, New York, NY (2008); Broken Thorn Sweet Blackberry, Sikkema Jenkins & Co, New York, NY (2009); and A Word Like Tomorrow Wears Things Out, Sikkema Jenkins & Co, New York, NY (2010).
