BIOGRAPHY

Rob Fischer (b. 1968 Minneapolis, Minnesota)  studied at Escuela Salmintina in Salamanca, Spain, in 1989, and at the Interdisciplinary Studies Honors Program of the Minneapolis College of Art & Design in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1993. Selected solo exhibitions include Cohan and Leslie in New York (2007); Whitney Museum of Art at Altira in New York (2005); and In-Site at the Madison Art Center in Madison, Wisconsin (2000). Selected group exhibitions include The Photograph as Canvas at Aldrich Contemporary Museum in Ridgefield, Connecticut (2007); Greater New York at PS1/MOMA in New York (2005); and the 2004 Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of Art in New York (2004). Rob Fischer lives and works in Brooklyn.
