BIOGRAPHY

Alexander Apostol (b. 1969 Barquisimeto, Venezuela) is a recipient of the 2004 Vi Bienal De Cuenca Prize from the Museo de Arte Moderno de Cuenca in Cuenca, Ecuador; the 2003 Becas Endesa de Arte Contemporaneo from the Museo de Teruel in Teruel, Spain; and the 2002 Casa de América-Residencia de Creacion Plastica from the Casa de America Fundación Carolina in Madrid. Selected exhibitions include DRCLAS at Harvard University in Boston (2007); Alexander Apostol: Recent Works at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions in Los Angeles (2006); Moderno Salvaje at Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation in Miami (2006); and Av. Caracas at Galería Distrito Cu4tro in Madrid. He is reprsented by Galería Distrito Cu4tro in Madird. Alexander Apostol lives and works in Madrid.
