Rashid Johnson received a BFA from Columbia College (Chicago, IL), and a MFA from the School of the Art Institute (Chicago, IL). Selected exhibitions include The Walker Art Center (Minneapolis, MN), COCA Center of Contemporary Art (Seattle WA), and The Whitney Museum of American Art (New York, NY). Johnson is currently represented by Monique Meloche Gallery. Johnson is the recipient of the Albert P. Weisman Grant (1998) and the Presidential Purchase Award for Photography (1997, 1998). He lives and works in New York where he is represented by the Nicole Klagsbrun.
